The Tyrone Individual Darts Championships was set-up in 2004 and is played in pubs & clubs throughout Tyrone. This competition is only open to Tyrone based players men, ladies and juniors with a County Tyrone postal address and played in selected venues throughout the County.

The last three events has seen big entries each time with the winner walking away with a cheque for £500 plus the Perpetual Crystal Trophy with the Runner-up receiving £200, the Semi-Finals getting £100 each and the ¼-Finals £25 each.

Colin Strong representing Whiteside’s Bar in Clogher was crowned the first Tyrone Individual Darts Champion in 2004 defeating Sean Gallagher (Fintona) 4-2 in the Semi-Finals and overcoming the challenge of Noel O‘Brien (Newtownstewart) 5-1 in the final. Colin who hails from Clabby put in a brilliant performance throughout the day knocking out a host of top players along the way and which seen the event held in the Halfway House, Tattyreagh.

Felix Mc Breaty 2005 Champion:

The 2005 staging of the Tyrone Individual Darts Championships seen players from all over Tyrone make there way to Whiteside’s Bar in Clogher for the second event which produced a quality field of players, but it was Dromore’s Felix Mc Breaty who was crowned champion.

Felix stole victory from the jaws of defeat both times in the semi-finals and then in the final to be crowned champion defeating Micky Mansell (Coalisland) in which was describe as a classic final which went right down to the last game of darts just getting over the line on a 5-4 score-line coming from 4-2 down, and before hand defeating a former Tyrone legend Danny Mc Callion (Strabane) 4-3 in the semi-finals.

Felix Mc Breaty 2006 Champion:

The 2006 Tyrone Individual Darts Championships seen the biggest field to date when up on 64 players from throughout the Tyrone County travelled to the Central Bar in Dromore for the 3rd staging of these prestigious Tyrone Individual Darts Championships.

Players from all arts and parts of Tyrone, and almost representing every town in the County put on one of the best displays of top class darts in front of the large turnout of spectators, but it was only one mans name they where speaking come the end of the evening, and that was the impressive Dromore machine Felix Mc Breaty who defended his title to be crowned 2006 champion for the second time in the three year history.

The Dromore machine defeated Paul Mayse (Newtownstewart) 5-1 in the semi-finals and followed that up with a 6-1 victory over Danny Mc Callion (Strabane) in the final. Felix also recorded the highest checkout of the day with amazing 170 shoot-out.
