Fourth  Tyrone  Individual  Championship  Title

Over 80 Tyrone based dart players took part in the 6th annual Tyrone Individual Darts Championships (only limited to Tyrone based players) at the Weigh Inn venue Omagh Co. Tyrone at the weekend past (Saturday 14th March), with this great tournament also attracting a large turnout of spectators who turned up on the day to watch and support the local talent that was taking part representing almost every town throughout the Tyrone County, but it was the current champion and World PDC member Felix Mc Brearty (Dromore) who was crowned champion once again retaining his title he won 12-months-ago picking up the winners cheque for £500 defeating current N. Ireland International Shane Pearson (Cookstown) in the final 6-2.

The Dromore darts machine continued his fine run of form in these Tyrone darts championships adding his name to the roll of honours list for the fourth time in the 6th year history of this wonderful event only dropping six games in total from all his matches throughout the day to claim the 2009 title, and also recording a number of very high checkouts and a lot of maximum scores of 180 along the way to victory which was very powerful in his deserved victory…….

This was another fantastic performance and a great achievement from this Dromore darts player and without doubt remains the best darts player throughout the Tyrone County after another unbelievable display recording his forth tournament title in this annual event which was the biggest and strongest field of Tyrone players ever in the history of these great championships.

Note:

The organisers will be changing a few rules regarding these Tyrone Individual Darts Championships with all players except the 2007 champion Mickey Mansell (Coalisland) and four times champion Felix Mc Brearty (Dromore) will have to qualify through qualifiers and also there is a small number of players on their last chance of being banned from this event all together because they qualify each year and done bother to turn up messing up the draw, letting their own venue down and failing to contact the tournament organisers, which is also disrespect to their fellow players and will not be accepted by the tournament organisers……

All venues and players will be asked to contact the organisers before next years event starts to see if players are eligible to compete by calling 07917887147 and if any venue would like to hold their qualifiers earlier than normal can do so but must contact the organisers first on 07917887147.…………
