Pool Tour


Q-Sport Academy Club situated on Main Street Fintona Co. Tyrone are accepting 32 entries on first come, first served basis for the new Q-Sport 8-Ball Summer Pool Tour which will be taking place at the club on the following months May, June, July, August and September 2010 (one event per month)……



This event is open to all category of players (men, ladies, juniors) both amateur and professional from throughout the 32 counties of Ireland regarding what rules any player plays…….



There will be five events (dates listed below) with £600 up for grabs for each event with a HANDICAP system being used and there will be no seeding and a open draw will take place after each round………all players HANDICAPS will be taken from Ireland’s 32 County 8-Ball Pool Tour which can be viewed by going into the following website www.rballsports.com and clicking on the 8-ball link on the left-hand-side and then click on players handicaps……….new players will also be given a playing HANDICAP if they don't have one....



BRIEF DETAILS:
(1): Each player will pay £120 to enter which covers them for five tournaments with payment details listed.

(a): the £120 can be paid to the Q-Sport 8-Ball Pool Tour organisers in instalments before the tournament starts.
(b): full money can be paid up front on or before first event.
(c): no less than £60 will be accepted which must be paid at the first event Saturday 29th May 2010
(d): final payment of £60 must be paid on or before the second event which is Saturday 26th June 2010.



(2). All five events will take place on Saturday’s on the following dates.
Saturday 29th May: ------ Event 1
Saturday 26th June: ------ Event 2
Saturday 17th July: --------Event 3
Saturday 21st Aug: ---------Event 4
Saturday 18th Sep: ---------Event 5



(3). A open draw will take place for each of the five tournaments and there won’t be any seeding…..



(4). A open draw will take place after each round……..(all top players could meet round after round)……



(5). All tournaments (5 events) will be played to World Rules which has two playing rules added by the tour organisers for the 2010 season………..(a). all players will lag for break in each match…….……….(b). The skill shot will also be added……..




TOURNAMENT ENTRIES:
The £120 entry fee covers each player for all five tournaments but all players must pre-enter
for each tournament by letting the organisers know before the Friday of each event if playing or not by contacting the following number 07917887147 or from Rep of Ireland (0044) 7917887147.…………..NOTE: if a player signs up he or she is reliable to make full payment of £120 on or before the second event which is Saturday 26th June 2010 and this will be made clear to each and every player that enters..



PLAYERS ON THE DAY ENTRY:
If a player can’t make it for any event, or if a player doesn’t PRE-ENTER inside closing date deadline the organisers will accept one day entries if this comes available with a entry fee of £30 being paid with Ladies and Under-16 paying £15.………..Matches will start at 10am……………….All matches will be played in a straight knockout format starting with the best of 13 from start to finish (first to 7) to suit the HANDICAP………….NOTE: if two players are level with the same HANDICAPS in there match (for example: +2 versus +2) the match will be the best of 9 (first to 5)…..



ENTRY FEES:
Each Tournament will be the same as Ireland’s 32 County 8-Ball Pool Tour regarding the £5 registration / green fees which has been added into the £120 entry fee for five events……… …..



All registration / green fees will go towards the running and up keeping of the Q-Sport 8-Ball Summer Pool Tour such as newspaper advertising, reports, results and photo’s, updates regarding the tour on the website, the organisers expenses and costs for the running of each tournament before and after the event which includes running the event from 10am in the morning and throughout the day just to mention a few…………..



PRIZE-MONEY:
The proposed prize-money based on 32 players is as follows for each event….

WINNER: £300

RUNNER-UP: £100

SEMI-FINALS: £100 (2x £50)

¼-FINALS: £100 (4 x £25)



DRESS-CODE:
All five tournaments played on Q-Sport 8-Ball Summer Pool Tour will have the following dress code:
(a). any kind of casual / dress / polo shirt with a collar.
(b). black dress trousers.
(c ). proper dress shoes.



PLAYERS:-----(dress-code information)
In any player or players appears or plays in any tournament without the proper dress code he / she will receive the following penalty…….


(1). Any player failing to wear the tours dress-code for any tournament will see there opponent rewarded one frame on top of all official playing handicaps for ever round they play compete in…….



(2). Players failing to wear the tours dress-code can only receive half the prize-money they win with the rest added to the next tournament……….



All tournaments played under Q-Sport 8-Ball Summer Pool Tour will have the following dress code:

NO EXCEPTIONS” will be given to any player…………………..
