The Derry lads went throughout the day undefeated winning three matches and drawn there other in the group fixtures played in the round robin format.

While Derry made there way into the final, it was heating up to see who would claim the second spot to play Derry again in the final on the knockout format.

Donegal was beaten by Antrim in there last match, so if Tyrone beat Dublin in there last match it would mean Tyrone would progress to the final. This was not to be as the Dublin players held Tyrone to draw which seen Donegal get into there first team final on Ireland’s 9-Ball Pool Tour.

The final got under way with Derry taking the honour as been the favourites with the bookies, and that’s what the did as they ran out winners for the second year running to be crowned 2004 Inter-County Ulster Team Champions.
