Jimmy White Captures 6-Ball Title

Jimmy White rolled back the years as he captured the Sangsom 6 Red Grand Prix title in Bangkok.......

Jimmy beat Barry Hawkins 8-6 in the final to take the title after a week of superb results against some of the biggest names in the game including Shaun Murphy, Ricky Walden, Mark King and Mark Williams on the way to the final......

Jimmy thanked the organisers of the tournament, especially Sindhu Pulsirivong for his passion for promoting the game in Asia......

He also thanked the hotel and sponsors for making the event possible and hoped to be back next year to defend his title......

The event overall must be hailed as a huge success, now in it's second year it has grown bigger and bigger, a fact that is evident by the turnout of the top professionals this year especially John Higgins, Stephen McGuire and Shaun Murphy......

And what now of Jimmy White, he made great strides last year to battle his way back up the professional rankings and this win is definitely a sign that he still has what it takes to mix it with the big boys. Hopefully we will see more of the whirlwind next season in the televised events.........
