The organisers of Ireland’s Pro-Am Pool Classic are proud to announce that this years annual event (2010) will be called Ireland’s Invitation 8-Ball Pro-Am Pool Festival with more high profile events added to its weekend programme, and offering the biggest payout of prize-money in the history of the tournament which takes place from Friday 26th -----Sunday 28th February 2010..........



This weekend festival of 8ball pool will be offering over £14,000 in prize-money increasing from £9,000 which was paid out in February 2009 with the organisers also looking at the possibility of this prestigious event being moved to a new playing venue…. (this will be announced shortly).......



INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL POOL PLAYERS ASSOCIATION:
The organisers of Ireland’s Invitation 8-Ball Pro-Am Pool Festival has joined up with the UK IPA Pool Tour for its 2010 event which sees the top eight Designated Players from its tour (UK IPA Pool Tour) receiving invited places for the main 2010 Pro-Am Event.......



BED & BREAKFAST:
The organisers will be arranging Special Accommodation Packages for players and there friends, spectators, followers etc from any country who is thinking of attending this annual and enjoyable event….. IRELAND'S OPEN UNDER-23 8BALL GRAND-PRIX CHAMPIONSHIP:
Prize-Money:--- Winner: £500, Runner-up: £200, Semi-Finals: £100 (2x£50)
Date: Friday 26th February 2010
Format: played in group double elimination format.
Age Group: Under-23 (must be 23 day of tournament)
Limited Entry: limited to 16 players
Entry Fee: £50



HOME NATIONS INVITATION PAST MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIP:
Prize-Money:--- Winner: £1,000, Runner-up: £400, Semi-Finals: £200 (2x£100)
Date: Friday 26th February 2010
Format: played in group double elimination format.
Age Group: Over 40’s
Limited Entry: limited to 16 players
Entry Fee: £100



IRELAND'S OPEN UNDER-18 JUNIOR MASTERS:

Format: straight knockout --- two semi-finals followed by final
Age Group: open
Limited Entry: limited to four invited teams of 5-aside……Invitation Ireland, Invitation England, Invitation Scotland, Invitation Wales



IRELAND's INVITATION 8BALL PRO-AM POOL CLASSIC: ----- (MAIN EVENT)

Winner: £3,000
Runner-Up: £1,500
Semi-Finals: £1500 (2 x £750)
¼-Finals: £1,000 (4 x £250)
Date: round robin groups played Saturday 27th ------Last-32 Sunday 28th February
Age Group: open to everyone (men, ladies, juniors)
Entry Fee: £100 or £25 for open qualifier
Past Champion: Ben Davies (Wales) 2009 Champion


OTHER INFORMATION:
(a): There will be 16 groups played in a round robin format.
(b): The top two players from each group will go into the knockout stages (last-32)
(c ): Only players that play in this main pro-am event will get free entry into the £1,000 plate event.



IRELAND's PRO-AM £1,000 PLATE TOURNAMENT:
Prize-Money:--- Winner: £500, Runner-Up: £250, Semi-Finals: £250 (2x£125)

Format: straight knockout
Age Group: open
Limited Entry: Only open to players that play in the main pro-am event with free entry
Entry Fee: free entry



IRELAND's INVITATION £1,000 PRO-AM SCOTCH DOUBLES:
16 invited players will partner 16 local Irish players in a straight knockout Scotch Doubles format with the winning team receiving the £1,000 winner takes all prize-money………..
